A goose’s life is filled with seeds, sleep, eggs then reputation of a monotonous struggle to stay sane. A constant fight to be truly alive, depressed and alone thinking this is all life has to offer.
This was the solitary life of one goose in particular, no life at all. A eating sleeping machine staring at four wooden slabs all day, perched on a bed of soiled hay. His feathers all mangled, covered in filth, leaving an unforgiving stench lingering around him for everyone to smell, clinging to their nostrils.
Until one day an unfamiliar sound was heard, the slow stomping of wellies heading towards the wooden pen, a sharp noise. The lid is lifted. Intense pain is felt immediately in the goose’s eyes, he winces and desperately tried to shield his face. Bursts of light pierce his corneas right at the core of his eyeballs. Fresh air is felt in a summer breeze rustling beneath his feathers. A burly giant smiles down at the quivering goose and warmly reached into save the mangles mess.
Taking a few seconds to readjust to these new surroundings the goose is confused and deseies to feel safe and secure. All he wants to do is reject this newfound freedom and return to his safe squallier.
Any repetitive torture wears down on the soul, and this was no exception. Poor goose began to question the reason of existence, with this the desire for his former confinement becomes every important.
Over time he will become used to this change and understand he is worth it. He stopped quivering, curled up in a tight ball and began to relearn the joy of discovering play. He fell in love with the world all over again, the warm beating sun filling his wings.
The goose will desire to travel everywhere in existence. Once given the freedom to rome he will feel the unattainable thirst to visit somewhere new each day. He wants to experience life for himself first hand, he doesn’t want texts books.
He chooses life.
His fortune will control and posses him in a result he will loose himself complete. The goose will long for knowledge of the world, the reason for existence and will search till the ends of the earth until he feels he has found it. This dream will drive him; it will change him and force him to do things he never thought he was capable of.
If he carries on discovering his life will be full and rich. The goose will be independent and will get the most out of life that be possibly can. But what can a single goose achieve in life? Will he succeed when everyone is against him? But will he succeed? Or will he give into the easy life?
